Antonio graduated in the History of Contemporary Art from the University of Florence in 2006 with a thesis on his teacher, Arturo Carmassi, however ever since high school his intellectual and professional journey had been winding through art, publishing, music and teaching.
From 2007 to 2011 he was Program Consultant and Coordinator at the New York University in Florence, and in 2012 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from the New York University, NY, where he taught the history of jazz and guitar.
Executive producer and artistic director of numerous international festivals, he has accrued a vast experience organizing concerts and events with such famous artists as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Charlie Haden, the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Egberto Gismonti, Archie Shepp, Toots Thielemans, and Abdullah Ibrahim, to name just a few.
He is the founder of Vanni Editore S.r.l., publishers of the magazine Jazzit, and promoter of important publishing and cultural initiatives ranging from art to music. He can boast numerous very prestigious experiences in coordinating activities and projects in the teaching field, as well as pedagogic and educational interventions. Since 2013 he has been the designer and director of the Art of Music Jazz Performance Program and Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies at the Accademia Europea di Firenze, and this year he took on the role of Academic Director.
