Four scholarships of €4000 each for the AEF MUSIC Program
“Edy Frollano Memorial Music Scholarship”

These merit-based awards honor our beloved co-founder of the school, Edy Frollano, who passed away in 2014. Edy built a strong legacy in the AEF community and made a deep impact on the hundreds of students she taught from 2005 to 2014. She was deeply devoted to sharing her work and passion with students, faculty and staff at AEF. She loved being a teacher and, even more than the theories and studies that fueled her coursework, was passionate about the living, breathing atmosphere of international cultural exchanges.

We offer this scholarship to a deserving AEF student who exhibits:
• A Major in Music;
• Passion about pursuing a career as a musician or music business professional;
• An understanding of the work it takes to be actively engaged to advance yourself and your mission;
• Interest in Italian and European music;
• A high GPA, strong personal essay, and recommendation from a professor or academic advisor.

2. Maria Taglioni Dance Scholarship

Four scholarships of €4000 each for the AEF DANCE Program
Maria Taglioni Dance Scholarship

We chose to dedicate this scholarship to Maria Taglioni, considered the greatest dancer of the nineteenth century, and the personification of the romantic movement. Maria was the first to understand the innovative scope of the pointework technique, transforming it from a purely virtuoso technique to a substantially expressive aspect, and thus placing it at the basis of the romantic dance style. We also owe the tutu costume to her. Maria was not just an extraordinary ballerina, famous and acclaimed all over the world, but contributed decisively to the evolution of the art of dance.

We offer this scholarship to a deserving AEF student who exhibits:
• Passion about pursuing a career in Dance Performance and or Management;
• An understanding of the work it takes to succeed in the international performing arts world;
• A high GPA, strong personal essay, and recommendation from a professor or academic advisor.

3. Leonardo Da Vinci Painting and Drawing Scholarship

“Leonardo Da Vinci Painting and Drawing Scholarship”

Leonardo represents the utmost Renaissance genius. He revolutionized both the figurative arts and the history of thought and science: he was a painter, scientist, engineer, architect, artist in the absolute sense of the term. Choosing to dedicate the Painting and Drawing Scholarship in his name, is the modest tribute we feel we owe to this extraordinary figure, first and foremost as Florentines and Tuscans, but also as educators and trainers.

We offer this scholarship to a deserving AEF student who exhibits:
• A Major in Art & Design;
