ITALIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES
We don’t want our students to be tourists. We want them to feel they are citizens of Florence and part of the AEF family.
Classroom lessons are usually held in the morning with expert, enthusiastic teachers. Students also enjoy numerous other activities in the afternoon including visits to monuments and museums, typical stores, craft workshops, sporting activities, cultural and linguistic exchange with Italian students, get-togethers with Florentine families, and many other occasions for enrichment and learning.
Our method enables students to immediately use the language in daily life, coming in contact with the people and their way of life: a real full immersion into Italian culture!
Learn Italian for becoming authentic citizens of Florence and Tuscany, albeit only temporarily!
SPECIAL ITALIAN COURSES
ITALIAN STUDIES AND CULTURE CLASSES
Italy is synonymous with style, art, cooking, fashion, cinema... and much, much more. In short, beauty. At the Accademia Europea di Firenze we have decided to offer our students an authentic experience in the Italian way of life as we believe that those who study with us should not feel like tourists, but instead, become part of the AEF family.
That’s why we have designed courses in which students can gain in-depth knowledge of the sectors that have made our country famous worldwide, by getting to know them from the inside and visiting the sites, manufacturers, craftsmen and professionals that every day give life with their work to the idea of beauty that stems from the past but is powerfully projected towards the future.

ART AND DESIGN COURSES
Art is everywhere in Florence: in the landscape, in the monuments, in every single work in the famous and lesser-known museums, in the food and in the lifestyle. The objective of our art courses is to raise our students’ awareness of this all-pervasive beauty and to teach them to transfer it into their creations, be they drawings, sculptures, paintings, fabrics, or photographs.
ART THEORY AND HISTORY
FASHION AND DESIGN
Music courses addressing classical and modern music, opera, vocal and instrumental techniques, and ensemble music.
The AEF offer, which is extensive and qualified, caters to beginners and experts alike, and its aim is to involve students in the life of an authentic community of artists. Our students not only attend lessons held by international-level teachers, but they also regularly exhibit in prestigious venues, thus enjoying the unique privilege of experiencing the city of Florence as their stage together with other students and professional musicians.
OPERA AND STAGE
THE HISTORY OF MUSIC
Not only does choosing the group course option end up being more affordable, but lessons are generally more structured and thorough, to ensure that it meets the varied needs of all students in the class.
The group classes are ideal for those looking for a more complete introduction and overview of their chosen course, and are also a great opportunity to meet other students!
This course is a unique experience for fashion lovers, since it offers students the opportunity to create an article of clothing under the guidance of an expert stylist.
The goal of the course is to identify and develop personal creative elements, which will fuel confidence and growth. Through the curiosity and enjoyment that comes with creating their collections, students will embark upon a personal journey towards creative value by listening to their emotions and reacting to them.
At the end of the course the students will be able to make a basic collection of female dresses, starting from the design process and finishing by creating it in three-dimensional form.
Topics covered in this course include:
• The figure of fashion designs (i.e. Designer Fashion Products)
• The differences between the roles of fashion and high fashion industry, and niche couture
• The relationship between fashion as a social phenomenon, and communication through clothing
• The design of a collection as inspiration, in any sector
