INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM OF ACADEMIC CREDITS
AEF courses comply with both European Higher Education guidelines (Bologna Process) and American Universities standards. Course workload is expressed in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), and their equivalent U.S. semester hours, in syllabi, transcripts and attendance certificates. ECTS credits are the European academic standard, established in 1999 for the purpose of enabling the mobility of European students in the framework of the Erasmus Program. Today, the ECTS makes it possible to transcend academic borders all over the world. The system defines the characteristics of the courses, the contact hours, study hours, guidelines for assessing the results, and more importantly, it guarantees the maximum transparency and quality of every aspect of the educational offer.

CREDIT TRANSFER
The AEF Academic Office supports and advises students in the process of getting their courses approved and transferred, providing all the necessary documents.

Nevertheless, it is necessary for every student to check with their home institution for the recognition of the courses and the relative credits towards their degree: the acceptance of transfer credits is always governed by the receiving school.
